L’eau des Bains de Lavey provient d’une source «hyperthermale», puisée entre 200 et 600 mètres de profondeur, située à proximité immédiate du Centre Médical. Du premier point de captage jaillit une eau à 62° à raison de 400 litres par minute; le second point – exploité depuis l’an 2000 seulement – délivre des entrailles de la terre une abondante quantité d’eau (600 l/min) à 70°. Un avantage non négligeable puisque l’ensemble du site thermal trouve ainsi, grâce à l’eau, une ressource naturelle et non polluante, l’essentiel de l’énergie et du chauffage nécessaires.
