La compagnie de transports publics Vevey-Montreux-Chillon-Villeneuve (VMCV) s'occupe du transport de passagers dans la région Montreux Riviera

Le réseau des VMCV est composé de 9 lignes de bus, totalisant 78.95 km et 270 arrêts. Le réseau dessert environ 65’000 habitants, répartis dans une quinzaine de communes. Les 50 bus et autres véhicules transportent 20'000 voyageurs par jour.

La base du réseau est, autant géographiquement qu'historiquement, la ligne de trolleybus 1, reliant Vevey-Funiculaire à Villeneuve en passant par La Tour-de-Peilz, Clarens, Montreux et Chillon; géographiquement car toutes les autres lignes y sont connectées, et historiquement car ce fut la première ligne du réseau, tramway de 1888 à 1955, puis trolleybus jusqu'à aujourd'hui.
